The Handmade Markets return to the Airlie Beach foreshore
Whitsundays Arts Festival and Whitsunday Creatives are delighted to co-host the ever-popular Handmade Markets as a stand-alone event on the Airlie Beach foreshore on Sunday 24 September.
Set on the grass amongst the shady trees overlooking the islands from the foreshore, this could very well be one of Australia’s most beautiful market settings.
This event showcases the incredible talent of our local artists, designers, and makers while providing a unique shopping experience for visitors and locals alike.
Calling all stallholders
Are you an artist, designer, maker, or food vendor with a passion for creating unique, handcrafted goods? Come and be a part of the Handmade Markets, a vibrant celebration of creativity set against the stunning backdrop of the Airlie Beach foreshore. Registrations for stallholders close 18 September, don’t miss this opportunity to share your creativity with our community!

Get involved and interactive! Participate in workshops held by the makers themselves, Queensland Hat Maker Ugo Kennedy will bring his steam iron and wooden mould to demonstrate the beginning stages of his traditional hat-making techniques, join Tammi and Jinni for a Thai batik workshop for kids and adults to paint with dye on prepared wax designs, get your faces painted by Emily, and much more!
