ART PRIZE DETAILS
The Whitsundays Arts Festival Art Prize Exhibition will be held at Coral Sea Marina Resort, from Friday 23 to Friday 30 September 2022. The Art Prize Exhibition is open to citizens or permanent residents in Australia during the 12 months preceding the closing date for entries in any 2D and 3D medium (excluding photographs).
While the 2022 Whitsundays Art Prize Exhibition is open to entrants aged 16+, we encourage any younger artists from 5-15 years to enter the Junior Whitsundays Art Exhibition hosted by Smart Arts - more information to come.

Art Prizes
WHITSUNDAYS REGIONAL ARTS PRIZE
Prize: $5,000 (Acquisitive) - Sponsored by Whitsundays Regional Council
Open to citizens or permanent residents in Australia during the 12 months preceding the closing date for entries, aged 16 years or over in 2022.
This is an acquisitive prize, requiring the winner to give their winning artwork to Whitsundays Regional Council.
Finalist artworks must be available for sale at the Exhibition (23-30 September 2022)
LOCAL ARTIST AWARD
Prize: $1,000 (Non Acquisitive) - Sponsored by Tassal Group
The artist must be a full time resident of the Whitsundays Regional Council local government area during the 12 months preceding the closing date for entries, aged 16 years or over in 2022.
Finalist artworks must be available for sale at the Exhibition (23-30 September 2022)
2D WORKS ON PAPER AWARD
Prize: $1,000 (Non Acquisitive) - Sponsored by Your Business Angels
Open to citizens or permanent residents in Australia during the 12 months preceding the closing date for entries, aged 16 years or over in 2022.

2D PAINTING AWARD
Prize: $1,000 (Non Acquisitive) | Sponsored by Amanda Camm MP
Open to citizens or permanent residents in Australia during the 12 months preceding the closing date for entries, aged 16 years or over in 2022.

3D SCULPTURE AWARD
Prize: $1,000 (Non Acquisitive) - Sponsored by Stephanie McWhirter Ray White
Open to citizens or permanent residents in Australia during the 12 months preceding the closing date for entries, aged 16 years or over in 2022.

YOUNG ARTIST AWARD (16-25 YEARS)
Prize: $1,000 (Non Acquisitive) - Sponsored by Wilmar Sugar
Open to citizens or permanent residents in Australia during the 12 months preceding the closing date for entries, and is between the ages of 16 and 25 years in 2022. All 2-D and 3-D works are eligible.

R&K KENYON AWARD
Prize: Picture Framing (valued at $200) - Sponsored by R&K Kenyon Framing
